  • I find most of the pre-order bonuses garbage most of the time. T-shirts, caps and key chains are pretty useless in my opinion. But some games do offer useful bonuses such as LittleBigPlanet’s exclusive costumes, which I made a huge and irreversible mistake by pre-ordering it 2 days too late! I was checking out EBGames.com and I found the soon-to-be-released Tomb Raider: Underworld comes with a nicely packaged art book (looks like hardcover based on image from EBGames.com). I’m a fan of collecting game art books (I’ve also bought the Final Fantasy X-2 and 12 art books as well) by the way. I’m really a sucker for these books i guess.

Apparently there is also a demo available for the PC incase any of you are interested.

  • Here is a list of games that I think everyone should watch out for in order of release date (bold are the more important ones). These games should be MORE than enough to last you til next year without buying any games in December. Even half of this list will last you for a long time.

    Here’s the list:

    Dead Space
    Midnight Club: Los Angeles
    Spider-Man: Web of Shadows
Barbie Horse Adventures: Riding Camp (just kidding)
    LittleBigPlanet
    Star Ocean: First Departure
    Fable 2
    Far Cry 2
Bioshock – for those who didn’t get the PC/XBox360 version
Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3
    Fallout 3
    MotorStorm: Pacific Rift
    Tom Clancy’s End War
James Bond 007: Quantum of Solace
    Resistance 2
    Gears of War 2
    Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe
Call of Duty: World at War
    Mirror’s Edge
World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Expansion Pack
World of Warcraft Gaming Mouse – and for those that can afford or justify buying a $100 dollar mouse
    Need for Speed Undercover
Left 4 Dead – I wish this would be out on the PlayStation 3
Hello Kitty: Big City Dreams (another joke)
    Tomb Raider Underworld
Alone In The Dark: INFERNO – for those with PlayStation 3, this version fixes some issues that were reported from the earlier release and includes an exclusive new sequence in Ep 6

Let me know if I missed anything great!

  • First I heard Resistance 2 will support up to 60 players in a single online multiplayer game. I was really excited about it. Now after watching THIS trailer, the CEO said in this trailer from Gametrailers.com that it will also support 8 player co-op mode. Wow this game is just getting better and better. (Excuse me if you guys all knew about the co-op mode already though). I am really looking forward to this game which is set to be out on November 4th.

As a somewhat related note, Tomb Raider: Underworld will be released one day before Resistance 2. October and November are going to be two busy months for gaming because Little Big Planet will probably take up most of my video gaming time once it comes out.

  • The first Tomb Raider was released in 1996 and it was a big hit for the PC. Another chapter of Lara Croft is coming in a few months, November based on Gametrailers.com. This is one of those must get games. So far with two trailers, I can see the new game offers, as you can imagine, much better graphics, somewhat Uncharted-ish since both are rather similar type of game where you explore different places, but of course Tomb Raider being the more original. But I cannot comment anymore without seeing more actual game plays.

For now please drool over a more recent trailer or check out the HD version at Gametrailers.com.
