  • I am still playing Starcraft 2 like crazy, whenever I possibly can. Now that I have found some worthy teammates to team up with instead of taking my chance of paring up with someone “worthy”. My head is full of Starcraft right now, like literally. Then something hit me today, not literally though. I thought to myself, there are official licensed Star Wars Lego models out there, but why not Starcraft 2? I’m pretty sure it will be a hit, at least I will buy them that’s for sure. I’m guessing one of the reasons might be licensing / loyalties all those legal mumble jumble.

But if they did decide to make Lego Starcraft 2, you bet I would be one of the first to get them. Well not the “I will wait in line 2am in the morning” kind of first. Oh you know what I mean.

Google “Lego Starcraft” and you will be amazed by what some people can do with Lego. My god I was mighty impressed. Now if someone could build a 1/8 scale Kerrigan that would be epic!

  • While browsing the online flyers of Futureshop and Best Buy. Nothing surprising in the Futureshop one, but I accidentally found out about the fact that StarCraft 2, our long awaited strategy game will be released on May 31st of this year. Well, at least based on the Best Buy listing . Maybe the date was released somewhere before but I’ve just checked Gametrailers and it said Q4 of 2010. I think May will be Q2 of 2010, so let’s see which one is more accurate. Obviously we all want May as oppose to near the end of the year.

Its been eternity since the original StarCraft came out, that was when I was in grade 10 I think. The time when we were still using 56k modems and got dropped out of mutiplayer games. Ahhh good times.

  • StarCraft 2

I’m sure everyone’s all pumped up and excited about the soon-to-be-released StarCraft 2, so while surfing the net, I stumbled upon MTV Multiplayer blog (never knew about this blog to be honest) about what appears, at least to me, to be the release date for this highly anticipated real time strategy game. From the screenshots of a Gamestop pre-order game list provided by Tracey John of MTV, you can clearly see Starcraft 2 with 6/2 to the right (Oh, how I wish it was Feb 6th!).

    StarCraft 2

After that, I went to Gamestop.com to see if I could confirm this finding but with no luck. Although I was able to find StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty from the search result but there was only a price of $49.99 but no release date. Maybe I should go to my local EBGames and ask one of the guys there while I look for a 2nd hand copy of Resident Evil 4 since its such a great game, as I was told.

  • Blizzard has decided to release StarCraft 2 as 3 seperate standalone games to provide the best possible gaming experience to the gamers. The game, or the games rather, will consist of the usual 3 races – Terran, Zerg and Protoss. The first game will be Terrans: Wings of Liberty, as Blizzard’s Rob Pardo stated, the second and third games will be sort of expansions to the first game which are called Zerg: Heart of the Swarm and Protoss: Legacy of the Void.

I still have no idea why and what’s the point of chopping the game into pieces. How will this make the game more enjoyable? I can only see right now that Blizzard can charge the main game 49.99 and then 19.99 for each expansion, in the end you are paying more than you normally would. I can only come up with one possible answer to this, Blizzard wants to fit more content onto each disc. But even if the first game, the non-expansion one, maxed out the entire disc I highly doubt the so called expansion discs will contain as much because otherwise they won’t be expansions.

Update: Oct 14 – So the reason for having a trilogy is because the story is so big it has to be chopped into 3 seperate games. So each one will be $50, in order to get the full story you need to fork out $150+ (due to tax). And chances are if you buy the first, you will want to buy the other two.
