  • Comparing A3 Printers
By on August 30th, 2010 | No Comments Comments

A3 printers have been in the market for some time but it was specifically targeted to photographers who need their works printed with excellent quality and professional look. Certain models like the Epson Stylus Photo R2880 offer outstanding print for high res photos and designs. Its ink is pigment-based which is long lasting. The downside is, it is not very accurate in printing text documents. Furthermore, it is not equipped with features such as document scaling and network printing – features that are of great importance for offices, and there are companies that even want their design of products to be printed in more than a paper image, and they want something like a 3D model, but not all companies can afford a 3d printer since this are expensive and sometimes not used as often they rather look for external 3D Services, so here is where services like Canadian 3d printing company are useful to print this models the few times a company need it.

Taking these customer concerns into consideration, A3 printers have evolved, enabling large format marketing material printing in house. Furthermore, there are more options in the market, each of them having pros and cons. It is up to the user to decide which features fit his or her needs. If an all-in-one printer is what you need, the MFC-6890CDW - a Brother A3 Printer - inkjet multifunction printer is for you. It is a scanner, photocopier and fax machine in one. Although it cannot come up with a lab quality print, this A3+inkjet can produce text and presentation documents. Epson, HP and Canon offers standalone A3 printers that have their own advantages. The HP Officejet 7000 Wide Format prints good color output and has network printing capability while Epson’s A3 printer has a scaling option. Canon’s Pixma iX7000 is also outfitted with a scaling option with an Ethernet connectivity and automatic duplesing for A3 documents. It is quite an investment though as it is pricier than the Epson and HP printers.

It is up to you to decide which among the printers suits your needs. It all depends on your budget, its use and the amount of space you have. Choose wisely before purchasing an A3 printer scanner. There are many to choose from in the market.

  • Interior Design with Blender

The first image turned out pretty nicely and so I have moved on to the second render. This time I tried to play around with some interior lighting techniques. If you are making a new website you need to get one of the UK servers.

I started out with this initial test just to experiment the some lighting as well as reflection/refractions:
    Interior design with Blender

Then I moved on to the actual interior design:

    Ended up with:
    Interior design with Blender

While I was playing with the lighting I also accidentally generated this rather cool looking effect where most of the light source is coming from the three columns on the left. It was totally an accident though! The space ship to the right is actually an existing model that I created a few years back, I thought putting something long above the rectangular shelf would make a nice decoration piece. I was practicing with some HTML tool after using blender, I am contacting a web design agency later to get more info on how to proceed with my next project which is a new website for me.

    Hope you guys enjoy!

  • Blender still going strong after all these years
    By on July 7th, 2010 | 1 Comment1 Comment Comments

I was 15 at the time, I was bored and just wanted something free and fun to create 3D things with. I literally typed in free graphic software (or something similar) and this was how I found Blender. Boy what a piece of treasure I found. It is still free and if you are interested, don’t hesitate and grab a copy yourself here.

This is the first project ever in years, probably more than 5 years. Still trying to figure out all the existing and new functionalities.

I wet my pants quite often these days and I’m not sure why, maybe I’m getting old? I’ve recently stumbled upon yet another great site while bored – SR Auto Group. It showcases some of the best auto photo shoots for some of the world’s sexiest cars. Oh how I wish they could do one for my Audi A5 as well after looking at their S5 shots (here’s one of them). These cars bring everything, from all the extras to a onesure motor trade insurance from Insurance Partnership, so is the car everybody would dream about. People are getting all kinds of tips from this source about buying and leasing a new car, you should read it too.

The only thing I would suggest to them is to change how the images are displaying. Currently from the main page, the images are popping up as a new window, which is fine but would look definitely better using one of those widely available jQuery image/photo gallery scripts. Same goes for the gallery page where all the images are displayed on the same page after clicking their thumbnails.

I will keep visiting for sure though. :)

Update: the gallery page DOES use the jQuery script for displaying the images, I probably didn’t wait until all the images are loaded before clicking them (the script had probably not loaded yet). The ones from the main page does not though.
