Yu-Gi-Oh!: Wheelie Breakers – now that’s just lame!
-
Back in the high school days which was 10ish years ago, Magic the Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh were a huge part of many kids’ life, well mainly the guys. I was hooked on Magic the Gathering and was fortunate enough not to get sucked into the Yu-Gi-Oh card game or else I would be even more broke. These two games continue to be popular, I’m not sure if they are still as popular as they used to since I stopped playing for a long time. They continue to come out with new cards and new video games. What happens when you put a “twist” on one of these console card games and that “twist” actually backfired? You will get yourself a Yu-Gi-Oh!: Wheelie Breakers for the Wii scheduled to be released on May 19th based on Gametrailers.com.
Now you wonder what kind of “twist” could mess up an otherwise decent console card game? The developers actually turned it into a racing game, based on the name of the game you should have figured that part out anyway. Based on the trailer, its similar to Mario Cart where you race others and try to slow them down but instead of shooting turtle shells or laying banana peels on the track you summon monsters out to “attack” the other racers.
And don’t get me started on the graphics, even on a Wii, the graphics could have been better. I think this is just another way a company is trying to milk from the hardcore Yu-Gi-Oh fans. Another disappointing Wii game.
